The third annual Celebration of Teaching and Learning, a two-day professional development conference for K-12 educators, will be held on March 7 and March 8, 2008 at the Hilton New York on 6th Avenue in Manhattan. The theme of this year’s conference will once again be “Science and Global Awareness.” Celebration 2008 will provide a variety of learning opportunities for K-12 instruction in Social Studies, Global Affairs, and Geography with both classroom and hands-on sessions. Exciting special guests will include renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, news anchor Ann Curry, and ocean explorer Jean-Michel Cousteau. Featured speakers and panels will focus on science, global awareness, integration of technology into classrooms, and important questions of educational policy.
