Register Now for NERC 2008 - New Haven
“Social Studies: Global and Local Connections, Shared Responsibilities”
The Connecticut Council for the Social Studies (CCSS) will host the 39th Northeast Regional Conference on the Social Studies in New Haven, Connecticut. This year’s NERC will be held at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale from Wednesday, March 26 through Friday, March 28, 2008. A group of dedicated social studies educators has been hard at work for the last two years to develop the 39th NERC programming events. The planned schedule is an exciting one with something that is sure to appeal to everyone. This annual conference is co-sponsored by the Councils for the Social Studies from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and New York as well as the New England History Teachers’ Association, the Northeast Regional Geographic Alliances, and the New England, New York, and New Jersey State Departments of Education as well as Programs in International Educational Resources (PIER) at the MacMillan Center, Yale University.
