The Exxon Education Foundation supports projects that enhance math education programs in grades K-3, including new math planning projects that help teachers change the way math is taught in their classrooms and help both students and parents think positively about math. The foundation reviews and awards proposals throughout the year. The foundation awarded about $3 million in 1996 to K-12 education, ranging from $200 to $200,000.
